DRAFT 2010-2035 Metropolitan Transportation Plan
The Santa Fe MPO has released the Draft Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) 2010-2035 for a 30 day Public Review period. The MTP is a federally mandated document that is updated every 5 years and is the statement of the ways the region plans to invest in the transportation system over the next 25 years. The MTP 2010-2035 will help guide planning and major capital investment to improve all modes of transportation, including roads, transit/rail, bikeways and pedestrian facilities. There will be a public presentation of the draft MTP at the Santa Fe MPO Transportation Policy Board meeting at 4:00pm on Thursday, September 9th in the Santa Fe Public Schools Administration Building located at 610 Alta Vista Street. In addition there will be three ‘Open House’ style meetings to present the Draft MTP. Public comment will be accepted at each of these meetings as well as at any time in writing (email staff below or mail to P.O. Box 909, Santa Fe, NM 87504) through the close of business on Thursday September 30th.
The dates and locations for the three ‘Open House’ meetings are:
- September 14, 3:00-6:00pm – Santa Fe Public Library Main Branch – Washington St.
- September 15, 4:00-7:00pm – Nancy Rodriguez Community Center- Lopez Lane
- September 16, 4:00-7:00pm – Santa Fe Community College, Jemez Room
The Metropolitan Transportation Plan 2010-2035 will be presented to the MPO Transportation Policy Board for adoption at their October 14th meeting.
