Transportation Improvement Programs

The Santa Fe MPO’s Transportation Improvement Program outlines projects to be funded in the near-term. 

A program that provides funding for projects and that improve air quality and reduce congestion.

A program providing funding for improvements that provide non-drivers.

A program providing funding to develop and maintain recreational trails and trail related facilities.

The UPWP outlines multimodal transportation planning activities for a one or two year period.

After mapping, projects can be prioritized for funding and implementation. The highest priority projects will be accessible for review with member governments so they can be included into the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). . Based on concentrations of high priority projects, high priority pedestrian improvement zones can be designated to complete improvements by geographic area.
