2010 to 2018: Crashes at Intersections

The SFMPO has mapped all (~96%) of the crashes that occurred within 30 m of an intersection between 2010 and 2018. Use the double arrows in the top left portion of the map to see more map details and the map legend.

Updates to this map have been de-prioritzed since absolute numbers of crashes and rate of crashes are important distinctions to understanding patterns. Questions can be directed to [email protected]

After mapping, projects can be prioritized for funding and implementation. The highest priority projects will be accessible for review with member governments so they can be included into the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). . Based on concentrations of high priority projects, high priority pedestrian improvement zones can be designated to complete improvements by geographic area.
