Integrating Plans

Adopted in 2022, this plan created in collaboration with FHWA, reveals important safety issues in Santa Fe, and some strategies for progress

The Santa Fe MPO updated the 2012 Bicycle Master Plan on June 27, 2019.

The Pedestrian Master Plan informs the 2015-2040 Metropolitan Transportation Plan to guide the development of Santa Fe’s pedestrian environment.

The first version of the Safe Routes to School Plan was adopted by the MPO’s Transportation Policy Board in December of 2023. This work will continue under the guidance of the Santa Fe Public School System.

After mapping, projects can be prioritized for funding and implementation. The highest priority projects will be accessible for review with member governments so they can be included into the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). . Based on concentrations of high priority projects, high priority pedestrian improvement zones can be designated to complete improvements by geographic area.
